Very good restaurant. The furnishings are reminiscent of the 1960s. Somewhat different dishes such as veal heart / tongue salad are no longer so easy to find today. In terms of taste great, a lot of things are still homemade. Unfortunately it is difficult to get a table spontaneously, reservation is almost a "must".

A really nice, cozy, rustic inn. A very personable host! The food was great. We will definitely be back when we come to the Black Forest from Hessen. Especially to try the highly touted cheesecake which unfortunately didn't fit in because of the good portion of delicious food. ?

We were in the area for a short break during the week and were looking forward to a delicious dinner based on the great reviews. When we arrived, the waiter surprised us and greeted us with a "questioning" hello - true to the motto: what are you doing here? When we asked for a place for 2 people, we were told that all places were occupied. But this was definitely not true, as there was still a table in the corner! As tourists and guests, we didn't feel welcome or wanted. We will neither recommend this place nor visit it again!

Not an easy place to find, but the food and service was great. Most of the produce is fresh from their garden. I would come eat here again for sure.

Quaint and special - like in grandma's time. A star deduction for sometimes quite high prices and not quite perfect salad and sauce choice - but as always a matter of taste.

This house has a lot of history and tradition in it! The food is extremely tasty and worth the price. You should definitely listen to the recommendations of the chef, who also likes to come to the table and take the order :)

It is always a pleasure to eat in the Gashof to the bathroom. The service by the boss is warm and fits great in the ambience "as with grandma". The food, we ordered cordon bleu with spaetzle or fries, salad and dessert plums with zabaglione, are very good cooked artisanal and taste hardly better. The portions are plentiful but not overcrowded. Price and performance are perfect here.

Small restaurant with few seats. Without reservation you rarely get a table. The menu is small, but there is something for everyone. To the normal menu there is still a day pass or season ticket. The condition is very friendly. You can try different homemade syrup types.

Best food I’ve had in the Freudenstadt area. Genuine homemade food, a slice of times past.

Quaint, cozy restaurant of mother and son in a historic building. Son like a smart cook who also brings in new ideas (wild garlic pesto or humus on baguette as a greeting from the kitchen). Mother is an institution that has found its fulfillment there. So far always stuck on the schnitzel. Duck looked very good and filling.

Awesome place! Generations of the same family running the restaurant and cooking savoury meals. Wow, it shows. What a delight to the tastebuds. A hidden (?) gem in Germany of some home-cooking at its finest. Well worth the trip. HIGHLY recommend!
